Dear St. Anne’s Family,
Tell out my soul, the greatness of the Lord! The theme of our pledge campaign provides us with a chance to reflect on the many ways that we are connected to each other through our beloved St. Anne’s. Tell out my soul is about storytelling and sharing our words, our actions, our love, our joyous songs, and our connection to each other and the world.
Our stories bring us together. Each of us has a story to tell, a reason we found this church community and why we continue to engage with one another and the many ministries of St. Anne’s. Each of us has dreams, ambitions, and great ideas, just as each of us has struggles and moments of difficulty. We bring our whole selves, our story, to St. Anne’s and to each other, and receive the support, encouragement, and community that we need to follow the way of Jesus.
We will be hearing many stories throughout the weeks of our campaign this year – our rich history in Reston, our music program, and a week dedicated to each of our four pillars of ministry. Members of our church family will tell out their souls and share the inspiration and transformation received through and because of St. Anne’s. This same process happens to each of us as we share our gifts from the inspiration and blessings we have been given.
Our pledge goal is $795,000. This represents an average of a 10% increase over last year’s pledge from each household. Approximately 70% of the total operating budget of St. Anne’s for 2026 is funded through our pledges. That’s significant, and, with this, we recognize with great excitement that we have a full staff. Also, we acknowledge the rising costs of utilities and other business expenses, reinforce our dedication to the ministries and work of St. Anne’s, support the maintenance of our building, and envision continued growth of various programs including music, youth, and outreach.
Along with this letter are campaign materials to support your discernment including a brochure, pledge calculator, and a pledge form. Vestry members will be available after each service on all Sundays of the pledge campaign and welcome the chance to answer questions and share stories. Let us remember how vital St. Anne’s is in our lives, our church community, and beyond. The continued work of St. Anne’s depends on all our financial contributions and support. Please be as generous as you can.
Please return your completed pledge form by November 21st so that we may include and bless your pledge in our ingathering service on Sunday, November 23rd.
