Educating
Adult Christian Formation
Adult Christian Formation is a Bible study class which meets on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The group usually studies one book of the Bible using a student study guide produced by the group. The format includes discussion, exercises, insights shared by participants, and frequent laughter. We are all learners so we begin the study with just the desire to learn and grow in our faith. Participation in a previous Bible study is not a prerequisite.

Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates express a mature, public reaffirmation of the Christian faith and the baptismal promises. We offer a 10-week confirmation class designed for youth (8th grade and older) and adults. In the Diocese of Virginia, bishops visit congregations on a two-year cycle, and we are looking forward to a visit from Bishop Gulick on Pentecost, May 31, 2020! If you are interested in participating in the class please complete the form HERE.

Education for Ministry (EfM)
Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry. EfM is a four year program of theological reflection and study offered by University of the South in Sewanee, TN. The focus of the program is on life as ministry and understanding that ministry. We typically meet weekly throughout the academic year (Sept - May) for two hours in the evening for class, and there are readings between class that allow one to go deeper in their faith. Find out more about EfM at http://efm.sewanee.edu/
If you are curious and would like to learn more about EfM at St. Anne's please reach out to Paul Bishop.
St. Anne's Youth Group (SAYG)
Youth Group gathers twice a month on Sunday evenings, September through May. Youth in 7th & 8th grade meet on Sunday afternoons for one hour in the library at church. Youth in grades 9 through 12 join them for a half hour activity and then the older youth meet by themselves for one hour. At various times the two groups come together for a combined gathering or adventure.
