About our Worship and Music

Worship

Worship at St. Anne’s is a joyful experience to which all are welcome.  We use both Rites I and II from the Book of Common Prayer, as well as forms of experimental liturgies approved by our Diocese.  Our 7:45 a.m. service every Sunday is a traditional Rite I service without music; our 9:00 a.m. service is a family-oriented service that uses a wide variety of music from traditional Anglican to gospel and contemporary.  Our 11:15 a.m. service is a more formal service that draws heavily on Anglican musical traditions.  Our 5:00 p.m. service is a “come-as-you-are” service that is very informal and uses a wide range of music, including contemporary.  The Eucharist is celebrated at all services.

Music

From the time of the psalmist, music has been at the heart of worship when faithful communities gather. St. Anne’s is blessed to have a vibrant and joyful music program that is an important part of our worship and our fellowship with one another.
